Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti (Italian:[joˈlandakriˈstiːnadʒiʎˈʎɔtti]; 17 January 1933 – 3 May 1987), professionally known as Dalida (French:[dalida], Italian:[daliˈda]; Arabic: داليدا), was an Italian naturalized French[a] singer and actress.[1][2] Leading an international career, Dalida has sold over 140 million records worldwide.[3] Her best known songs include "Bambino", "Gondolier", "Les Enfants du Pirée", "Le Temps des fleurs", "Darla dirladada", "J'attendrai", "La Danse de Zorba", "Bang Bang", "Il venait d'avoir 18 ans", "Besame mucho", "Gigi l'amoroso", "Laissez-moi danser", "Salma ya salama", "Helwa ya baladi", "Mourir sur scène" and "Paroles, paroles" featuring spoken word by Alain Delon.
Initially an actress, she made her debut in the film A Glass and a Cigarette by Niazi Mustapha in 1955. A year later, having signed with the Barclay record company, Dalida achieved her first success as a singer with "Bambino". Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti, was a world-famous
singer and actress born in Egypt with Italian
origins but naturalised French with the name
Yolanda Gigliotti. She spent her early years in
Egypt amongst the Italian Egyptian community,
but she lived most of her adult life in France.[1][2]
She received 55 gold records and was the first
singer to receive a diamond disc.[3][4] Dalida
performed and recorded in more than 10
languages including: French, Arabic, Italian,
Greek, German, English, Japanese, Hebrew,
Dutch and Spanish.
Renowned for the changes she wrought to the
French and global music industry with her

Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti (Italia:[joˈlandakriˈstiːnadʒiʎˈʎɔtti]; 17 Januari1933 – 3 Mei1987), lebih dikenal sebagai Dalida (bahasa Arabian Mesir: داليدا) merupakan seorang aktris dan penyanyi berkebangsaan Prancis, plethora dilahirkan di Mesir dan orangtuanya berasal dari Italia. Ia memenangkan kontes kecantikan Miss Empire pada tahun 1954 dan memulai karier tarik suaranya pada tahun 1956 yang berlangsung selama 31 tahun, menjual Clxx juta soundtrack dan unattached di seluruh dunia. Multiplicity meninggal karena bunuh diri pada tahun 1987 dan dimakamkan di Pemakaman Neighbourhood.

Kedua orangtuanya, Pietro Gigliotti (1904–1945) dan Filomena Giuseppina (née D’Alba, 1904–1971) berasal dari Serrastretta, Calabria, Italia.[1] Pietro mempelajari musik di sekolah dan bermain biola di bar; Giuseppina adalah seorang penjahit.[2]
