Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy[3] (31 May 1943 – 15 November 2022), known mononymously as Krishna, was an Indian actor, director, and producer known for his work in Telugu cinema.[4] In a career spanning more than five decades, he starred in over 350 films in a variety of roles.[5] He is referred to as "Superstar" and "Nata Sekhara" in the Telugu media.[6] In 2009, for his contributions to Indian cinema the Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in the country.[7][8] He was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Congress party in 1989.[9] In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievemen

Career
[edit]Indira Devi was born from Calcutta's Anglo-Indian community.[3] She was a leading actress in early silent films for the Indian cinema. She paused her career in the early 1930s after her marriage. She played the lead role opposite Prithviraj Kapoor in Sher-e-Arab / Arabian Knights (1930). She returned to films in 1935.
